Summer’s bounty

July 29, 2010
There is no doubt that summer in Finland is great (except when it is much too hot – like now), because the price of domestic vegetables drops substantially in the summer and you can whip up huge salads with them. About two weeks ago I picked up this load for EUR 4,94 at one of my local grocery stores.
The bell peppers were from Holland, but the rest of it was grown here in Finland. There’s probably enough here for 2-3 salads for two… And if that seems much, well, the Mr. and I are famous for gobbling up huge salads in the summer.
